Goddess Rajarajeshwari, also known as Lalita Tripura Sundari or Lalita, is a Hindu goddess considered as a form of the Divine Mother, representing the supreme feminine energy or Shakti. She is a form of the Hindu goddess Parvati, who is the consort of Lord Shiva.
Vilakku is lit in most of the South Indian households and the oil lamp is kept burning till daybreak.This is a handcrafted brass traditional Diya. Decorated on the top with the mythical Yali on top. This brass oil lamp is lit using ghee, clarified butter or oil, and a cotton wick, in the belief that the illumination from the lamp removes darkness from home.
